Notre Jury 2022

The Michel Legrand Prize , created on November 10, 2020 by the association "Michel Legrand for Music" whose president is Madame Macha Méril Legrand, will be awarded each year during the month of June by a jury of an odd number of personalities and professionals from the world of cinema, literature and music.

It will prevail:

1) Grand Prize : an international composer for the moving image or a filmmaker with a strong link with music, either for a particular film or for all of his work.

2) A “musical performance” prize to an international composer or musician of live performance.

3) a “First work” award to an international composer for a film, TV movie or series, cartoon, documentary or advertisement.

The prizes will be awarded during a concert evening at the Domaine de La Mothe, the property where Michel Legrand lived for the last twelve years of his life, and where he composed many works.

The Grand Prize, awarded by majority vote by the jurors, from a list which will be given to them by the general delegate, consists of an emblem statuette dated and engraved with the name of the winner.

The other two prizes are designated by the same jury as the Grand Prize. Each winner will receive a decoration created for the occasion.
